Tonight I had the fortunate opportunity to attend the YW General Broadcast at the conference center. Taylor and I braved the traffic, searched diligently for parking, and walked several blocks at a rapid pace to get there. We were richly rewarded.
The First Presidency was there with President Monson presiding. The Young Women general presidency spoke followed by Dieter F. Uchtdorf. I loved his story of the courtship of his wife and his persistence in doing whatever he could to gain the attention of the woman he fell in love with the first moment he saw her.
He spoke of fairy tales and happily ever after’s and how we, as Latter Day Saints can achieve the greatest happily ever after as we strive to follow the commandments and have the courage to be the one to stand for what is right even if we are the only one standing.
It was a great evening.
I can't wait to go with Madisyn. I'm looking forward to it so much!!
